James Benning’s first film called The United States of America was a 1975 trip across the country, capturing its scenery through a car windshield. This second one also crisscrosses the nation, but without a car, carving it up instead into a series of static shots of just under two minutes, one for each state, presented alphabetically, from Heron Bay, Alabama to Kelly, Wyoming. The names of the places are nondescript, but the images attached to them are anything but, immaculately composed shots of landscape, cityscape and the spaces in between. As we move from A to Z, the images coalesce into a portrait of today’s USA, tracing out its fault lines almost in passing: fenced-off facilities, a river bed running dry, factories and refineries, run-down streets and gas stations, a camp under a bridge. The past is there too, seeping up through the songs and speeches that sporadically pierce the background noise or the motifs that evoke a whole career; the clouds, trains and cabins are stand-ins for films, not just states. As always, there’s time for more abstract thoughts too: each image may stand for a state, but representativity is slippery. Which state is more cinematic than the rest?
虽然依旧柯学，但已经是近几年的剧场版里难得的故事完整，逻辑自恰，笑点泪点拿捏精准的合格作品了。
如果要用一句话总结：这部电影是Mike Mills献给Urban America的影像prose.不同城市的印记随着镜头推进慢慢烙印在故事当中，而黑白的画面既产生一定距离，也让抒情变得隽永。电影的文学性却是比20 Century Women更加的直接（direct citation成了backdrop monologue）,非虚构的纪录片巧妙结合进叔侄二人朝夕相处的(chaotic)日常。也许成长最终都意味着情感的释放，坦然接受生活的苦难，怀着对未来的怀疑与恐惧正面迎接它的到来。虽然Phoenix和小男孩都贡献了上乘的表演，但于我而言感动都来自孩子们真实的采访---可能通过孩子的眼睛我们才能真正参透这世界去向何方，而未来也逐渐清晰，向我们呼唤c'mon c'mon.
怎么说呢 比之前稍微好点？ 5人组穿插的不错，女性角色好苍白。。。
现实许多地点或情形见不到这种洞悉人性的小孩儿。
难道我不会吗？
Count down three, two, one, let's cross this gentle river.But please don't lecture me, maybe humanity is done, maybe we can do something to make the world a better place, but the world still goes on without us.

之前剧场版该有的元素都有，
特别合适在年末观看，诗歌一般流动的叙述配上质朴的黑白，清新又真诚。借纪录片的形式，穿插了不少素人小朋友对城市和环境的感知，与男主和小侄子的关系发展形成了有知觉的互文，也仿佛写下了我们对这一整年的小结，无论它仍然是如孩童般充满对这世界的困惑。虽然海报上只有两个主要人物，但剧情探讨了各种各样人和人之间的关系。和华金搭戏的小演员非常灵，两个人首尾的两场学舌都非常精彩，小朋友托住了影帝的嘶吼并承继到一种童真明快的状态，也象征了和解与启迪。很喜欢最后的植物园取景，阳光在巨大的树冠之间闪动着生命的光彩。（61）
再多说一句，希斯莱杰演完小丑之后也应该接一部像这样的戏
Your typical nice looking, "heart warming" A24 flick...unrealistically precocious kid paired with confused middle-aged man and through turbulence and conflicts they gradually learn from each other and cherish the experience forever --- I have seen this one many times before. The "it's okay to yell, and then yelling out loud" scene in particular is soooo much of a cliche. Cinematography is alright but not really impressive, watching this back to back with Red Rocket the difference is so obvious (ok B&W is at disadvantage but still).The interview bits aren't integrated organically into the story, and it feels like the feel-good, "heartfelt" material got mixed in just for audience appeal.
因为有去年的对比，对今年的格外满意，有同期共同解决事件的兄弟情，“致命同期”优秀同期啊！哎，最后只有一个人了。而且也有首尾呼应，解决这个炸弹都是七年前离开的那个人的提示。整体故事饱满度也不错！动作场景也很不错！也埋了一些伏笔，悬疑部分也有。今年也是在涉谷看这部以涉谷为事件地的电影，也挺特别。不过对于俄罗斯那派还有那个无差别炸弹犯的背景以及人物刻画稍微弱了一些。但实在是去年的太拉，今年的真的不错😭最后高木真的吓到我了！
3.尊重孩子，不去灌输“标准答案”才能培养出独立人格。

看起来早慧敏感的小朋友与善良疲惫的都市中年互相治愈的旅程。但过程中用小孩的不驯去逼迫成年人诚实其实是一件挺残酷的事。看有多少人可以接受自己失去作为文明人自尊的时刻喽。对母职绑架这件事有试图做一些正面迎击。
And when the time comes to return to your star, it may be hard to say goodbye to that strangely beautiful world.
好温柔好舒缓～整部电影仿佛在告诉你，你那些再细小再难以名状再拧巴的情绪，都值得都可以慢慢地摊开、轻轻地抚平。大人读不懂孩子，也许是因为我们本来就读不懂自己。Mike Mills好会拍亲密的感觉啊。对着麦克风喃喃自语的华金，让人想起her里的Theodore。
安室透又是逼格拉满已经开始离谱…从大厦楼顶跳回直升机里这还是人类吗？这就是你在地下室里用红酒杯喝白水()的理由吗？但是这些不重要就不吐槽了。
很久没看过柯南了，比想象的还好点，画面不崩，剧情有点寡淡
