The film accompanies Magaye Niyang, a star of Touki-Bouki, a 1972 classic directed by her own uncle Djibril Diop. Following this path, we are witness of Niyang travel to a special screening of the film, which has a public release in his old town. Niyang seems detached and with a heavy longing from the past, and therefore, the film debris permeates everything with unescapable sorrow and fascination.
Diop film is, first and foremost, a nostalgic travel through memory, time and recreation. It is also a watermark in contemporary experimental documentary, a very intimate portrait of a lost long journey through the past that isn’t returning anymore, a detachment of rejected fame, recognition and connection which is heavily grounded on a legacy that belongs to the past, and that connects directly to a country (Senegal) and its heritage, which is sometimes feel excruciating for the old ones (a testimony such as the taxi scene in the film, where the cab driver longs for changes, and claims that the old generation had done nothing for that).
Mille Soleils (A Thousand Suns) and, in itself, Mati Diop’s crucial talent, should be a point of reference into what could easily be one of the most interesting proposals of hybrid documentary cinema which has come from France, and which deals with a strong African heritage. Since 35 Rhums, where she proved her actress talent, Diop seems like a true promise for the following years of cinema.
应该是看过原版的关系，所以再看翻拍就感觉没有当时的新鲜感？原版的评论拿到这部来也一样能用。可能作为BP来说剧情太平淡，但是在目前这个背景下有个正能量的电影其实也挺好的。我唯一不懂的是评分怎么会高于原版？
观影时几度落泪。「你跟我不一样，你勇敢多了。」沉默的争执和和解，用手语唱出对家人的爱。
今年最好哭的电影，打动我的不是女主角为家庭负重还是任自我飞翔的纠结，而是听觉障碍下形成了家人之间更细腻的观察习惯、更直白的沟通方式，以及更强烈的情绪表达，反而帮助他们跨越了代际鸿沟，女主角太招人喜欢了，连“唱街”男孩都在她的高亮表演下暗淡无光。
虽然伯克利不是光听一首歌就能考上，但Both sides now确实很感人，听到眼睛湿了。
暖心、疗愈。// Mr. V这样执着于本念的老师是多么可贵、可爱。 // Family, makes one hate them to an extent that one eventually realizes this feeling is actually love. // “I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now, from up and down, and still somehow, it’s cloud illusions I recall, I really don’t know clouds at all.”
3.5 亲吻亭类似的肥皂片凭什么来冲奥？谈内核coda可以，法兰西特派为什么不行？同样的套路套个话题翻来覆去拍，美国青春片真的受够了../隔天又忆起这部电影，情绪稍微委婉下来，认为观影前若以对Coda群体（女主）的角度始发探索，给的分会些许偏差。coda的世界是复杂的，残疾的父母在青春期的孩子面前有多么无力的存在，叛逆的路上就有多大要学会释然和解的挑战。当你站着女孩的角度哀怨其累赘时，电影又慢慢揭开父母的世界，自卑的，无力的，苟且挣扎，却也敢笑敢爱的普通父母——会害怕女儿看不起，不够亲，没能够互相体会而惶恐无措的母亲，是会无声愤怒自豪且极力想爱女儿所爱的父亲。赚取的泪点就是这love from both sides的力量。相反如果只是期待又一部青春电影如何打造新维度，那收获的失望便是必然的。
9分，改编得蛮成功，但又太像原版，少了点惊喜。整体还是很不错的青春片。

翻拍自法国电影《贝利叶一家》，记着要去看。
又好看又好听的电影，喜剧和煽情的成分与剧情的融合都极自然。用亲情守护彼此的梦想，记得上次看这么既舒服又上头的家庭电影还是多年前的《阳光小美女》。
3.5吧，得看原版。丨几个场景深受震动，一是音乐老师质问女孩你懂生活与失败吗？二是哥哥说为何正常人不主动学会与聋哑人沟通？三是父亲在汇演上那个无声的场景，看着周围健听人们的欢欣鼓舞时他的茫然，与回家后坚持让女儿唱给自己听，用双手抚触的方式听到了。四是伯克利面试上，女孩同时用手语唱给自己的家人听，她抬手的那刻我全身鸟肌。丨这样的家庭可能只存在在电影里吧。
看鸟《健听女孩》产生的好奇：父母和哥哥都听障，小女孩从小是如何学会听说普通口语的？
我喜欢《对不起，我们错过了你》，但不喜欢这部。
希望国内的影视创作者们都能学习一下人家是怎么做套路的。
3.5。质感一般，但有几段真的很感动。我们需要更多女孩离家追梦的故事。
Either actually show how problems are solved or don't oversell the struggle. Being extremely easy to watch ain't a virtue.
1、这部电影是和老婆一起看的，好听，好看，感动满满，我们都哭了。
不知道说点啥，对这种鸡汤不感冒，不获奖永远不会看。就是那种作为“电影”来说硬件都合格没毛病，就是无法引起情绪上的触动。
红果果的抄袭宝莱坞电影《寂寞之音》。。。。不喜欢太多的性话题，仿佛刻意营造尴尬场景，没必要这么多吧。还有老师怎么有点像保罗穆尼？
