During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 不愧是恐怖大师温导的作品，虽然剧情不是很新颖，但是设定和反转绝对是惊喜，我抠破脚丫都想不到反转如此打脸我的猜想！太喜欢温导的沉浸式镜头了！
同体共生的压迫与欺侮，是恶的释放，善的重生，还是自觉遵守的唯我意志与坏境消沉。当变化来临，禁锢的开始便是终结。在主题很好的情况下一定程度地限制了言说的结构与范围。所幸独立的视听风格与运镜技巧在呈现“现实”紧迫感的前提下，又极大了补足了剧作中闪失的疏漏与遗留。氛围的塑造依旧是导演的绝对武器。动作戏的部分尤让人爽利激涌。
哇哦太牛了，温子仁，一个在镜头语言上不断追求沉浸感的人，配上这个完美剧本简直就是升华，太棒的想法了，最后半小时张着嘴巴看完。

虽然都猜得出来情节，但温子仁氛围塑造到位，VR模式视觉呈现很有新意，最后半小时大屠杀很过瘾，温子仁尽力了属于是。而且还整了一把姐妹情深，女性崛起。爽到就完事。
James Wen时隔五年重新指导了一部新的恐怖电影，不再是作为制片而是导演的身份。光这一点就足够吸引人，故事前期还是James经典的房间恐惧那一套，后期就开始放飞，变成了血浆飞溅的恐怖片。一场从牢房一直打到警察局的戏码很是过瘾，让人看着格外舒畅。故事有很多地方都有中古世纪铅黄电影的痕迹，而且电影的主要梗还是身体恐怖那一套，整体表现还是很好的。其中一个俯视镜头还印象挺深，也算拍出一些不一样的东西。20211002
3.5吧，全程看得人还是很有紧张感的，高能的地方还是很高能的，就是结局有点减分。比起这种血腥的类型，还是更喜欢温导灵异类型的片子。不知道今晚会不会梦见那张脸，真的是太丑了。
温子仁的那种招魂风格已经很定型，加入了不少血腥动作设定，尤其是警局厮杀的那种林中小屋感
求变，鬼变科学怪人，逻辑尚自洽，飚起来就可以是动作片了，挺新鲜挺好。就是细节潦草些，现场如此发指的嫌犯被关进公共拘留区也是心够大的，而且收尾时也不够认真。总之，编剧有点流程化，但温式恐怖场景和新添的温式打斗还是挺养眼的。引进版删三分钟，确实很欺负人，不过也是没毛病。
低开高走，我是从男警察介入主导的时候才代入进去的，有些动作段落是真的爽快，不过恐怖段落效果挺垃的
我觉得这片俗套又难看，跟我一起看的室友：温子仁真的是个天才！人类的悲欢并不相通。
其实像昆汀的一些片子一样，是一部对老电影的致敬之作，但手法上基本是元素挪用，比如铅黄和柯南伯格的身体恐惧之类的，当然能解读出一些女性主义的内涵，然而对一些关键性戏剧元素缺乏解释，会造成混淆与语意缺失。
女主的眉眼好美阿。 所以你们在哪里知道他们是一体的呢？ 温子仁还是温子仁，所以这部片还是说母爱吧，一说起孩子，女主就能量Max。
高开低走，前半段悬疑气氛很浓厚，给我感觉是女主会灵异，能够看到别人看不到的，结果看到一半变成人格分裂，这片子的悬疑感瞬间降低了一个档次。
温子仁这次玩好大，一定是拍海王憋坏了，另外女主角演的不错。
不要粗暴对待精神疾病患者。对精神外科手术的控诉。因果报应。凶手像蟑螂一样迅速逃窜。
血腥残暴版Frozen？这个剧本只看前十页是咋给green light的？先立项然后赶着拍赶着写？
或许是期待太高了，这一次温子仁的电影并不恐怖。在得知真相之后，反派的身姿和动作显得非常滑稽。前面一小时很无聊，频繁的惊吓段落也没有惊吓。
